The Bay Area calendar fills fast. Between stadium events, arena shows, and the convention season, there are stretches where every good vehicle in the region is spoken for weeks out. A little foresight is the difference between arriving in comfort and circling a packed garage.
Know the pressure points
A few venues reliably strain regional transportation, and they're worth planning around:
- Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara — football and marquee concerts turn the whole South Bay into a parking problem.
- Chase Center, San Francisco — game nights and shows clog Mission Bay and the surrounding streets.
- Moscone Center — big conventions can book out black-car SUVs across the city for days at a time.
When one of these is on, demand spikes and availability collapses. The vehicles don't multiply; the calendar just fills.
Book earlier than feels necessary
The single best move is simply to reserve early. For concerts, sporting events, and New Year's Eve we ask for one to six months' notice — the long end of that range for the dates everyone already has circled. Airport runs are easier: twenty-four hours to two weeks is usually plenty, and same-day requests often work when a vehicle happens to be free.
Let the chauffeur solve the venue
Event-day logistics are their own skill. Streets close, rideshare lots overflow, and pickup points move. A chauffeur who knows the venue stages outside the cordon, sets a clear pickup point, and texts you exactly where to walk — so you're moving while everyone else is standing in a queue.
