Rideshare is a marvel for a Saturday-night trip across town. But when the ride represents you — a client pickup, an investor dinner, a flight you cannot miss — the calculus changes. Here is the checklist executives actually use when the ride matters.
Insurance and vetting
A rideshare driver is a stranger with a personal-auto policy and a light background screen. A professional chauffeur is a commercially licensed, insured, background-checked employee driving a commercially insured vehicle. If something goes wrong at 70 miles an hour with a client in the back seat, that distinction is the entire point.
Pricing you can plan around
Surge pricing is a feature for the platform and a liability for you. A fare that triples because it started raining, or because a game let out, is not something you can put on a schedule or an expense report with confidence.
Black car service is the opposite: a fixed, all-in fare agreed before the trip. The number you approve is the number you pay — tolls, wait, and gratuity handled, no surprises when the receipt lands.
Reliability when it's non-negotiable
